Katherine Ruch


Katherine has completed Adult Silver Moves in the Field, Adult Bronze Freestyle and Pre-Bronze Dance through US Figure Skating. An older beginner, she started skating in high school and has competed in numerous adult skating competitions. Katherine is a member of both US Figure Skating and the Professional Skaters Association and has 15 years of coaching experience. Knowing that it's never too early or too late to find joy in skating, Katherine has worked with recreational skaters and beginning competitive skaters of all ages from preschoolers to adults. She enjoys working with students of all ages, particularly very young skaters after having worked in a preschool setting and older beginners knowing that skating is truly a lifelong sport! She teaches free skate, moves in the field and basic skills. Katherine earned her B.A. from Furman University in Communication Studies. 

Rate $25/30 min, $17/20min, Second lesson per week is available at a discounted rate.

June Warta


Skating Director at Lexington Ice Center since 2006.  Professional Skaters Association rated coach with oral ratings and accreditations.  Over 25 years coaching experience in both United States Figure Skating and Ice Skating Institute standards.  Specializes in Basic Skills through advanced Freestyle Jumps and Spins, Choreography, Moves in the Field, Power Stroking, Artistry, and Off-Ice Conditioning with an emphasis on Posture and Alignment.  Member USFS, PSA, Positive Coaching Alliance, ISI Silver Test Judge, Near completion of B. Emily Manning


Emily Manning has achieved United States Figure Skating Novice Moves in the Field, Adult Gold Moves In the Field, Juvenile Freestyle, and Pre Silver Ice Dancing. She has competed at regionals and has 12 years of competitive skating experience. Emily is a member of the Professional Skaters Association and United States Figure Skating. Her coaching specialties are choreography, freestyle jumps and spins, basic skills, as well as off ice jump conditioning and strength training and is CPR certified. She also instructs hockey power skating and technique. From competitive skating to recreational, she believes in creating a strong foundation for skaters of all levels and ages that fosters growth in every area of the sport.

Beverly Brown Durborow

​Beverly is a member of the US Figure Skating Association and the Professional Skaters Association. She has Foundations of Coaching Certificate. She has achieved US Figure Skating Adult levels in: Gold Moves In the Field, Pre-Gold Ice
Dance and Silver Freestyle. She is a competitive Figure Skater in Ice Dance, and Interpretive Skating, medaling 4 years at the USFS Adult Championships. Beverly is the Director of TFSC’s Nutcracker on Ice. Education: Beverly has 2 Master of Science Degrees, one in Physical Therapy from UAB and another in Health and Human Sciences from LSU. She is a licensed Physical Therapist, and a certified Instructor of Pilates. Skating instruction offered: Freestyle, Moves In the Field, Ice Dance, Synchronized Skating, and Presentation and Choreography.

Ben Logan


Ben is a U.S. Figure Skating gold medalist in moves in the field and a former Sectional competitor in ice
dancing. He has over 20 years of coaching experience, and he coaches students of all ages and skill
levels. The highest U.S. Figure Skating tests passed by his students are Senior Moves in the Field, Senior
Free Skate, Gold Solo Dance, Senior Solo Free Dance, Adult Gold Moves in the Field, and Adult Gold Free
Skate. In addition to coaching figure skating, Ben also works with hockey players of all levels, including
UK Hockey, to improve players’ speed and edge control. Ben holds a BA in Philosophy and Classical
Languages from Asbury University and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Kentucky. He teaches
moves in the field, free skating, partnered and solo ice dancing, stroking and power skating, and basic
skating skills.


Lesson rate: $38 for 30 minutes
